Multiple Taliban bombings kill 7 women, 3 children in Afghanistan’s southwest

Multiple roadside bombings by insurgents in Helmand Province today killed an innocent man, seven women and three children.

Today at approximately 9 a.m. a roadside bomb exploded in the Musa Qala district that killed 10, including seven young women and three children.  

A few hours later in the same district, a second devise exploded, killing a man, wounding a woman and three of their children.

ISAF Regional Command Southwest confirmed the incidents, added that the Afghan Forces ‘are doing all they can to counter this tactic with ISAF’s support’.

‘The population can take part in security by reporting IEDs and those that plant them to their local security forces’ said Lt Col Stuart Upton, the PAO for Regional Command Southwest.

    It is so sad to read about this. It’s NOT that we don’t have violence in the US. WE DEFINITELY DO, but it’s no better no matter WHERE it is.
    Violence only begets violence, and in the end never really solves anything. ONLY makes things worse.
