Roadside bombing in Helmand killed 6 civilians, wounded 5 including women & children

Kabul, Afghanistan – A civilian vehicle was hit with a roadside bomb in Helmand’s Musa Qala district today resulting in death and injury of multiple civilians.

The subsequent explosion on the vehicle killed 6 of the passengers, and wounded five others; all of them civilians.

Helmand governor’s press office indicated a number of women and children among the dead and wounded, but did not provide a specific figure.

According to a press release from Presidential Palace, President Karzai condemned the attack & offered his condolences to the families of those dead, & wished speedy recovery for the wounded.
